Exclusive: Hasbro Launches New Star Wars & Marvel Play-Doh Sets
Ahead of the holidays, Hasbro has released three new Play-Doh sets inspired by Disney properties, such as Star Wars and Marvel.
Starting today, consumers can add Play-Doh sets featuring Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, The Mandalorian and Grogu, and Sam Wilson as Captain America to their shopping carts. Each set includes several accessories and molds, Play-Doh compounds, and flexible figures. Kids can recreate moments between beloved characters or craft new scenarios with the IP-based arts and crafts kits.
The Play-Doh Star Wars Squish & Slice Lightsabers 4-Inch Action Figure Set includes four mini Play-Doh compound cans in green, black, white, and a split of red and blue.
Kids can use the included molds to create a Play-Doh cape for the Darth Vader figure, make Luke Skywalker’s belt, forge a Play-Doh lightsaber, and even boot up their own squishy R2D2 or a stoic Stormtrooper. They can also add the detachable red Lightsaber accessory to Darth Vader and use the stretchy figures during their own battle scenes.
Hasbro’s new The Mandalorian-inspired set is also available. With the Star Wars The Mandalorian Launching Speeder Playset, kids can use four different Play-Doh compounds and several accessories to continue the character’s story. It includes a flexible figure of The Mandalorian and a Grogu figure as well.
Young Star Wars fans can roll the included Speeder across Play-Doh to create ammo, load it into the Speeder, and launch it. The vehicle doubles as a tool set — kids can disassemble it and use the pieces to cut and shape Play-Doh. The kit also includes molds for The Mandalorian’s armor, Grogu’s chest piece, and another character for imaginative play.
In addition to the new Star Wars sets, Hasbro is expanding its Marvel-themed Play-Doh collection. The Marvel Captain American Moto-Slicer Playset features Sam Wilson as a flexible Captain America figure.
Kids can attach the figure to the motorcycle (his hands even clip to the handlebars), roll the motorcycle across colorful Play-Doh to make stars, and slice. Small superheroes can also use the molds to create villains or attach the 2-in-1 wings to Captain America or the vehicle to slice Play-Doh creations.
Each set is available now on Amazon. To discover additional Play-Doh sets, visit hasbro.com.
