Licensing Veteran Michael Peikoff Launches First Book in Memory of His Father

Long-time licensing and entertainment veteran Michael Peikoff launches his first book dedicated to his late father, Elliot. A Smart Man Wouldn’t Have Thought About That features his father’s memorable quips relating to the daily interactions and moments he experienced in the entertainment industry.

Peikoff is a long-time licensing and entertainment veteran with notable experience in the industry. The industry professional has worked with well-known companies, including Warner Bros. Consumer Products, Sony Pictures Consumer Products, 20th Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising, and the FOX Broadcasting Company.

“Michael worked for me at Warner Bros. where I heard my first ‘Elliotism.’ Elliotisms were and remain a wonderful way for me to entertain and joust colleagues who direct a statement to you that they believe will resonate,” says Dan Romanelli, Founder and Former Worldwide President of Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “Elliot was one man I wish I could have met, but I feel like I have. I know readers will love this book as much as I did.”

“The ultimate business humor book filled with sardonic and witty quips from a true road warrior, Elliot, brought to life by renowned Looney Tunes character artist, Fred Bode,” says Karen Mctier, Former Warner Bros EVP of Global Consumer Products. “He perfectly captures the irreverent humor of each situation with drawings reminiscent of the days around the water cooler at the office. Whether you are working in a cubicle or working remote…you will laugh out loud at these twisted lines and clever illustrations!”

“As a teenage friend of the author, I had a front-row seat to hundreds of rapid-fire ‘Elliotism.’ But it was only after decades in business that I could appreciate Elliot’s gift for the perfect, ironic one-liner. If you are in the world of sales, when you read this collection — and you will over and over again — you will both laugh and wince as you relate to every word,” says David Grant, former President of Fox TV.

A Smart Man Wouldn’t Have Thought About That includes illustrations from iconic Looney Tunes artist Fred Bode. Kent Press published the print edition, which retails for $12.95 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
