Pokémon Trading Card Game is Now Available in Spanish, Following Latest Expansion
It’s a big day for Pokémon Trainers around the world!
The Pokémon Company International announced its upcoming expansion, Scarlet & Violet — Journey Together, will be the first Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) pack to be fully translated into Latin American Spanish. Following the introduction of Spanish into Pokémon GO last spring, the company has pledged to also translate every subsequent Pokémon TCG expansion in an effort dedicated to serving and expanding Pokémon’s worldwide community of fans.
Our Latin American fans have always been a vibrant and important part of the passionate Pokémon community, and we’re delighted to be able to bring the Pokémon TCG to them in the language that resonates best with them. Incorporating Latin American Spanish into the Pokémon TCG allows us to provide our Latin American fans with a new way to experience the brand and further explore the world of Pokémon, and we can’t wait for that adventure to start with Scarlet & Violet — Journey Together.”
This announcement garnered even more buzz for the highly-anticipated Scarlet & Violet — Journey Together. Slated to launch on Mar. 28, this expansion pack emphasizes the special bond between a Trainer and their pocket monsters with the return of the popular Trainer’s Pokémon cards. These cards feature all-new, bespoke artwork displaying each Trainer’s name, including sought-after cards like N’s Zoroark EX, Lillie’s Clefairy EX, Iono’s Bellibolt EX, and Hop’s Zacian EX.
Players can find these exclusive cards in individual booster packs and collections, as well as The Pokémon Company’s coveted Elite Trainer’s Box. If fans gotta catch ‘em all, the Scarlet & Violet — Journey Together Enhanced Booster Display Box also includes a bonus rare-style card of N’s Reshiram with the pack’s logo.
Like all Pokémon TCG releases, Trainers can get a special first look at the collection before it drops at the Pokémon Prerelease Tournaments. Beginning Mar. 15, Trainers all over the world can compete with the new cards to determine the ultimate Gym Leader. The event schedule isn’t complete yet, but updates will be on the Play! Pokémon website as they become available.
Scarlet & Violet — Journey Together will launch on The Pokémon Center’s website on Mar. 28. Keen Trainers can also access a digitized version of the new pack a day earlier on the Pokémon TCG Live app, available on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.
